Haryana's sex ratio at birth (SRB) has shown a significant increase, reaching 921 per 1,000 births by late December, nearing its highest-ever record. This improvement is attributed to a special task force's efforts, including monitoring SRB, regulating medical termination of pregnancy (MTP) sales, and curtailing abortions, leading to a 20% drop. Districts like Panchkula and Fatehabad have seen substantial gains, while Rewari and Rohtak show modest improvements. The Health Department aims to surpass the 2019 record of 923 before the year concludes.
