Six people were hospitalized after consuming contaminated food at a birthday party in Indore's Bhagirathpura, an area previously affected by a diarrhoea outbreak linked to polluted drinking water that reportedly caused 22 deaths. Around 60 attendees experienced health issues, with all hospitalized patients reportedly recovering. Local residents and the Congress party claim the death toll is higher, at 35. A judicial inquiry led by former High Court judge Justice Sushil Kumar Gupta is ongoing into the water contamination incident.
