Telangana's Drugs Control Administration has issued an urgent advisory to stop the use of Almont-Kid Syrup, commonly prescribed for children's allergies and asthma. This action follows an alert from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) indicating the syrup, Batch No. AL-24002 manufactured by Tridus Remedies, Bihar, was found adulterated with toxic Ethylene Glycol. Health officials are directing retailers and distributors to freeze existing stocks and urging the public to report any possession of the product to authorities.
