Delhi reduced its annual average PM10 concentration by 16% from 241 micrograms per cubic metre in 2017-18 to 203 micrograms in FY 2024-25 under the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP). This falls short of the 22% target but reflects ongoing efforts through a city-specific Clean Air Action Plan addressing vehicular emissions, road dust, construction, waste burning, and industrial pollution. The Centre reported air quality improvements in 103 of 130 cities, with 22 meeting national PM10 standards and 25 achieving over 40% reductions by 2025-26.
