
Project Great Indian Bustard's captive breeding programme in Rajasthan has reached its fourth year with the hatching of two new chicks, raising the captive population to 70. Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav stated that one chick was born through natural mating and the other via artificial insemination. Some of this year's captive-bred chicks are planned for soft release into the wild, marking a new phase in conservation efforts.
