Former Rajya Sabha Member and Educationist Janardan Waghmare Dies at 91

Dr. Janardan Waghmare, a renowned educationist and former Rajya Sabha member from Maharashtra, passed away at age 91 in Latur after a brief illness. He founded Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University and established Rajarshi Shahu College. Known as the architect of the 'Latur Pattern' for academic excellence, Waghmare authored over 80 books and received multiple state awards. He served on key parliamentary committees and was a close aide to NCP founder Sharad Pawar. His last rites will be held in Kavtha village.
