
One year after its inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vantara, a wildlife conservation and rehabilitation centre in Jamnagar, Gujarat, has treated and rewilded thousands of rescued animals across various species. Founded by Anant Mukesh Ambani, the centre has received multiple international recognitions, including the Global Humane Award and memberships with EARAZA and SEAZA. Vantara also supports flood relief efforts, hosts scientific laboratories, conducts veterinary training, and engages children through outreach programmes, providing specialised care to elephants and crocodiles rescued from exploitative conditions.
