Following strong public protests and intervention by civil bodies, the Nazirakhat Toll Plaza authorities have withdrawn toll charges on local vehicles. Residents of Dimoria had alleged harassment and arbitrary deductions despite existing exemptions. A meeting with toll plaza representatives resulted in an assurance to exempt local vehicles upon verification of identity documents, with refunds for recently collected tolls. The long-standing issue of the toll gate's infrastructure and protection of local interests was also raised.
