An 82-year-old retired man, C.S. Narayanan, has been providing free tuition to slum children in Bengaluru since 2013. After moving from Chennai, he was inspired to teach children struggling with education. Despite not knowing Kannada initially, he used dictionaries to teach English, math, and science. His classes, which began near a lake, eventually moved to his home to accommodate growing numbers, with each batch limited to 15 students. His efforts have helped many students pursue higher education and careers.
