The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) suspended the headmaster and seven staff members of Ajhapur High School in East Burdwan after they allegedly assaulted the examination officer, Prashanta Kabiraj, who discovered a mobile phone inside the exam venue during the Madhyamik Class 10 examination. The phone was found in the headmaster's room, and an argument escalated to physical violence. CCTV footage partially captured the incident, with some footage missing. An inquiry is ongoing, and WBBSE aims to ensure smooth conduct of remaining exams.
