
A 9-foot-long crocodile was found on the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay campus in Mumbai's Powai area on Monday. IIT security alerted the forest department, and an eight-member team from the forest department and Resqink Association for Wildlife Welfare safely captured the reptile. The crocodile underwent a medical examination and is being observed before its planned release back into its natural habitat near Powai lake, home to several crocodiles.
