Devotees welcomed the New Year 2026 with visits to Darbar Sahib in Amritsar, participating in early morning prayers and kirtan despite cold weather. Arrangements for hot tea and langar were made for the large number of visitors. Many paid respects to the Char Sahibzadas and remembered Guru Gobind Singh's sacrifice, praying for peace and prosperity. Some villagers also gathered at their local Gurdwara to pledge unity and peaceful coexistence.
