Varanasi railway administration is implementing extensive plans for the New Year and Magh Mela, anticipating up to 5 lakh daily visitors for Kashi Vishwanath Darshan. Arrangements include a dedicated holding area at Varanasi Cantt station to protect passengers from cold and illness, enhanced security with CCTV monitoring, and deployed medical and police teams. To manage the surge, VIP darshan at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple has been suspended since December 24.
