A six-month-old infant, Avyan Sahu, born after a decade of prayers, has died in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, from a vomiting-diarrhoea outbreak attributed to contaminated municipal water. The family claims the baby fell ill after consuming packaged milk diluted with tap water. While residents report 15 deaths, the health department confirms four. The Sahu family has rejected the government's Rs 2 lakh ex-gratia compensation, stating no amount can replace their child.
