Singapore Police Say Zubeen Garg Drowned Intoxicated Without Life Jacket; No Foul Play Suspected

Singapore police told a coroner's court that Assamese singer Zubeen Garg was severely intoxicated and drowned near Lazarus Island in September 2025 after declining to wear a life jacket during a yacht outing. Witnesses saw him swimming without safety gear before he went limp and was rescued but later pronounced dead. The autopsy confirmed drowning as the cause of death, with no foul play suspected.
