A tragic road accident occurred in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, when a State Express Transport Corporation (SETC) bus collided with two cars near Eluthur village. The crash resulted in the deaths of nine people, with four others sustaining injuries. Chief Minister MK Stalin announced an ex gratia of Rs 3 lakh for the deceased's families and Rs 1 lakh for the injured, also directing special medical care for those hospitalized.
