Two government-aided schools for differently-abled children in Maharashtra's Latur district have been ordered to close due to irregularities, according to the Disability Welfare Secretary Tukaram Munde. An inquiry found issues such as low student enrollment, lack of registration on the government portal, a non-functional biometric attendance system, and expired registration at the institutions. Authorities have warned of strict legal action if the closure orders are not followed.
