Delhi Plans Redevelopment of Rajghat Power Plant into Cultural and Nightlife Hub

The Delhi government plans to redevelop the defunct Rajghat Thermal Power Plant into a vibrant cultural, nightlife, and recreational hub. Inspired by global projects like London's Battersea Power Station and New York's High Line, the 28- to 45-acre site along the Yamuna River could feature cafes, open-air concert venues, food streets, a youth learning center, and eco-friendly amenities. The proposal aims to boost tourism, generate revenue, and create safe public spaces, currently awaiting Cabinet approval and detailed project planning.
