The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has imposed a Rs 15 lakh penalty on Vajirao and Reddy Institute for misleading advertisements related to the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023. The institute claimed credit for over 645 selections and top ranks, creating the impression that all successful candidates enrolled in its regular courses. However, the CCPA found many candidates had only joined interview guidance or mock interview programs, with 431 enrolment forms lacking course details. This is the institute's second penalty in two years for similar violations.
