Singapore Forms Committee to Strengthen Indian Community Identity and Launches Arts Grant

Singapore has launched the Indian Engagement and Development Initiative (INEI) committee to strengthen the Singapore-Indian identity, coordinate community upliftment, and develop youth leadership over five years. Chaired by Ministers Murali Pillai and Dinesh Vasu Dash, the committee includes leaders from Indian organisations and youth under 35. An annual INEI forum will begin next month. Additionally, a SGD 20 million Multicultural Arts Programme Grant will support traditional and multicultural arts to promote cross-cultural engagement in Singapore.
