Andhra Pradesh Officials Highlight Women's Empowerment and Financial Independence Initiatives

On International Women's Day, district collectors from Andhra Pradesh emphasized women's empowerment as vital for national development. NTR District Collector G. Lakshmisha highlighted the RISE centre's role in nurturing rural women entrepreneurs, benefiting nearly 5,000 women. Tirupati District Collector S. Venkateswar stressed financial independence through schemes like 'Lakhpati Didi', with Tirupati hosting over 1.60 lakh beneficiaries. Both officials noted government initiatives aiming to increase women's economic participation and support self-help groups across the state.
