Madhya Pradesh Tuberculosis Patients Face Delays in Nutritional Support Payments

In Madhya Pradesh, only about 15,228 of approximately 1.76 lakh tuberculosis patients have received the Rs 1,000 monthly nutritional support promised under the Nikshay Poshan Yojana in the past five months. The delay, attributed to technical upgrades in the payment portal, has left many patients struggling with hunger during treatment. Officials confirm distribution of Rs 10.18 crore from October 2025 to January 2026, covering eligible patients regardless of income status, while some patients report dependence on others due to the halted aid.
