Mumbai Mayor Hosts Flower Holi Event Promoting Eco-Friendly Celebrations

Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde hosted a 'Phulanchi Holi' event at Rajawadi Garden, Ghatkopar, promoting eco-friendly Holi celebrations. The initiative encouraged using flower petals instead of chemical colors, avoiding water wastage, and discouraging burning hazardous materials during Holika Dahan. Tawde urged citizens to use dry wood and natural colors, avoid cutting trees, and emphasized social responsibility. Flowers from the event were processed into organic compost, and the area was cleaned to support a greener Mumbai.
