
The Kerala High Court has directed striking nurses and private hospital managements to enter mediation to resolve a statewide wage dispute disrupting healthcare services. The court ordered nurses to suspend their strike until March 19 and urged both parties to engage in good faith mediation. Nurses, represented by the United Nurses Association, demand a basic monthly pay of ₹40,000 and improved staffing, while hospitals dispute some claims. Mediation talks are scheduled for March 17, with a report due by March 19.
