Nearly 200 villagers in Uttar Pradesh's Budaun district received rabies vaccinations as a precaution after consuming raita made from the milk of a buffalo that died days after being bitten by a dog. The incident occurred in Piprauli village following a funeral ceremony on December 23. While health officials stated that rabies is not typically transmitted through boiled milk and no illness has spread, the villagers sought vaccination due to fear of infection. The Chief Medical Officer confirmed that all concerned individuals were vaccinated as a preventive measure.
