The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has launched a month-long 'Safe Travel' road safety campaign across Maharashtra from January 1 to January 31, 2026. The initiative aims to recognize and reward drivers with long accident-free service records, offering cash awards up to Rs 25,000 for those with over 25 years of accident-free driving. The campaign also includes intensified driver training, medical checks, and awareness sessions, emphasizing safety as a collective responsibility involving drivers, conductors, and mechanical staff.
