
Kerala's Health Department is investigating the deaths of two patients who developed adverse reactions during dialysis at Haripad taluk hospital. The hospital's dialysis unit has been closed for 15 days for microbiological and other evaluations. The deceased, aged 53 and 60, had been undergoing regular dialysis for years. Four patients on December 29 experienced chills and vomiting, with three referred to medical college; one died later. Other patients also reported minor adverse reactions but completed their treatment.
