Delhi Government Begins Digital Profiling of Schools to Assess Infrastructure and Safety

The Delhi government has initiated a citywide digital profiling of 1,086 government schools across 799 premises to assess infrastructure and safety. The project involves detailed documentation of facilities using 360-degree imaging, drone surveys, and GIS visualization. Structural safety assessments include non-destructive tests to classify buildings for repair or demolition. Data will be uploaded to a secure platform linked with UDISE, enabling real-time monitoring and informed decision-making for maintenance and upgrades.
