The Delhi government has launched a digital profiling initiative to assess infrastructure and safety across 1,086 government schools in 799 buildings. The programme uses 360-degree imaging, drone surveys, and GIS visualization to create detailed digital profiles, enabling virtual walkthroughs and data-driven planning. Structural safety assessments include non-destructive tests to classify buildings for retention, repair, retrofitting, or demolition. Data will be uploaded to a secure platform linked with UDISE for real-time monitoring and administrative analysis, aiming to identify gaps and prioritize improvements systematically.
