Jharkhand Youth Reunited with Family After Ten Years in West Bengal

After a decade-long separation, 19-year-old Mandis Parahiya from Jharkhand's Palamu district was reunited with his family following a coordinated police effort. Taken to Kolkata by neighbours seeking work when he was nine, Mandis was later traced to South 24 Parganas in West Bengal. A formal missing person complaint lodged in December 2023 led to a Special Investigation Team's probe, culminating in his return on February 22. Authorities continue investigating the circumstances of his prolonged separation.
