
Asia's largest Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden in Srinagar opened early on March 16, ahead of its usual schedule due to warmer weather. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah shared glimpses of the garden, praising the Floriculture Department's efforts. Nearly 18 lakh tulip bulbs have been planted, with 70 to 75 varieties expected to bloom, including five new types. The garden also features other flowers like daffodils and roses. Online ticket booking has been introduced to facilitate visitors during the spring tourism season.
