Visakhapatnam's Beach Road will be closed to vehicular traffic from 8 p.m. on December 31 to 5 a.m. on January 1 for New Year's Eve celebrations. Several other roads and flyovers will also have restrictions. Police Commissioner Shankhabrata Bagchi stated that measures are in place to prevent harassment of women, drunken driving, and chain snatching, with drone cameras and 'She Teams' deployed for surveillance and assistance.
