A group of Buddhist monks is continuing their cross-country peace walk despite two members sustaining injuries when their escort vehicle was struck by a truck. The approximately two dozen monks, who began their journey in Texas on October 26, are walking towards Washington D.C. to promote peace and highlight Buddhism's activist tradition. The group has gained significant social media traction, with over 400,000 followers, and plans to travel through multiple states, including Georgia, North Carolina, and Virginia.
