KSTDC Launches Hop-On Hop-Off Double-Decker Bus Service in Bengaluru

The Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) has launched a hop-on, hop-off double-decker bus service in Bengaluru, marking the return of such buses after nearly 27 years. Three Ambaari buses, each with a 40-passenger capacity split between an air-conditioned lower deck and an open-top upper deck, operate on a pilot route covering central city landmarks like Vidhana Soudha, Chinnaswamy Stadium, and Visvesvaraya Museum. Tickets cost Rs 180 for a full-day pass, allowing multiple boardings. Plans include expanding the route to 26 tourist spots, enhancing Bengaluru's heritage tourism.
