Hyderabad Hosts Hot Air Balloon and Drone Festivals Showcasing Tourism Initiatives

The Hot Air Balloon Festival in Hyderabad commenced on January 16, 2026, featuring 18 balloons launching from Hyderabad Golf Club near Golconda Fort. The three-day event, organized by Telangana Tourism, includes morning free-flying rides covering around 13 km and evening tethered balloon displays at Parade Grounds. Minister Jupally Krishna Rao inaugurated the festival and participated in a balloon ride. Concurrently, the Telangana Drone Festival at Gachibowli Stadium showcases competitive races and aerial displays from January 16 to 17, highlighting the state's blend of cultural heritage and modern tourism initiatives.
