These pollutants, including common drugs, are found at levels exceeding ecological safety parameters and pose risks like antimicrobial resistance. Punjab irrigation authorities are proposing a floating barrier to manage solid waste, while pollution control boards plan drone surveys to identify industrial sources in Himachal Pradesh.
