Three Drown in Sharda River During Mauni Amavasya Bathing in Pilibhit, UP

Three individuals, including two teenagers aged 14 and 15 and a 25-year-old adult, drowned while bathing in the Sharda River at Dhanaraghat, Pilibhit, during the Mauni Amavasya festival. The teenagers lost balance in the strong current, and the adult drowned attempting to rescue them. Despite CPR efforts, all three died. Locals criticized the lack of safety measures such as barricades and divers at the crowded bathing site. Authorities have sent the bodies for post-mortem examination.
