The Delhi High Court has directed the Directorate of Education to ensure the formation and functioning of parent-teacher associations (PTAs) in all private schools, including unrecognised ones, across the capital. This follows a PIL by NGO Justice for All highlighting that around 170 schools have not constituted PTAs as mandated by the Delhi School Education Act and 2010 guidelines. The court sought a response on steps taken and ordered interim action to enforce compliance, emphasizing PTAs' role in school governance and fee regulation appeals.
