The Delhi High Court ruled that a woman's savings or one-time fund transfers to family do not disqualify her from receiving maintenance from her husband. Justices Anil Kshetarpal and Harish Vaidyanthan Shankar stated that such transactions, especially from 2018, do not prove a steady income sufficient for self-maintenance. The court emphasized that without concrete proof of income, salary, or business activity, these transactions are likely routine family arrangements or use of past savings. This ruling came while dismissing a husband's challenge to a family court order for interim maintenance.
