Delhi Employment Exchange Sees Increased Postgraduate Registrations Amid Rising Unemployment

In 2024, Delhi's employment exchange recorded around 21,000 job seeker registrations, including over 1,400 postgraduates, 1,342 diploma holders, and five PhD holders. The majority of applicants were men (13,997), followed by women (7,025) and one transgender person. Arts graduates formed the largest group among degree holders, with a notable rise in science graduates seeking jobs. Meanwhile, registrations from candidates with matric or intermediate education declined. Delhi's unemployment rate rose slightly to 2.1% in 2023-24, reflecting ongoing urban employment challenges.
