The Biswa Ijtema, a major Islamic congregation organized by the Tablighi Jamaat, has commenced in Hooghly, West Bengal, expecting up to 10 million participants. This spiritual gathering, focused on prayer and Islamic values, returns to the region after 33 years. Authorities have implemented extensive security, traffic, and sanitation measures to ensure a peaceful event, which runs from January 2 to January 5.
