An exhibition titled 'Salt Lines' by multimedia duo Hylozoic Desires explores the 'Great Hedge of India,' a nearly 4,000-km colonial-era customs line established by the British. This extensive hedge, often compared to the Great Wall of China, was designed to prevent untaxed salt from being moved between territories. Composed mostly of overgrown vegetation, the hedge was manned by thousands of staff. Artists Himali Singh Soin and David Soin Tappeser researched its existence and scale, traveling along its rough coordinates.
