A special survey in Jalgaon district's rural areas registered over 1.22 lakh single women, with the majority being widowed. Conducted by the Zilla Parishad from December 10-25, the survey aimed to economically empower single women and integrate them into the mainstream. Jamner taluka reported the highest number of registrations. Anganwadi and ASHA workers conducted the survey under the guidance of district officials.
