A UK employment tribunal has ordered a KFC franchise operator, Nexus Foods Limited, to pay approximately Rs 74 lakh to an Indian employee, Madhesh Ravichandran. The tribunal found Ravichandran experienced racial discrimination and wrongful dismissal, including being called a "slave" and "fraudster" by his manager. The ruling mandates anti-discrimination training for the franchise after upholding Ravichandran's complaints of less favourable treatment due to his race and unfair dismissal.
