A new survey by the Save Life Foundation for India's Ministry of Road Transport and Highways identified 18 critical road corridors responsible for over half of road accident fatalities in the top 100 most vulnerable districts. Data from 2023-2024 shows a significant portion of deaths occur between 3 PM and midnight, with one in four fatalities happening between 6 PM and 9 PM. The initiative aims to reduce road crashes and deaths in line with UN goals to halve fatalities by 2030. Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra reported the highest number of deaths.
