
A 19-year-old from Chikka Mandya, Karnataka, was declared brain dead after a severe brain haemorrhage caused by a motorcycle accident. Following counselling by the Jeevasaarthakate organ donation team, his family consented to donate his liver, kidneys, heart valves, and other organs. The retrieval was conducted at Victoria Hospital's Trauma and Emergency Care Centre, enabling successful transplants that benefited six patients. Medical officials praised the family's decision and the coordinated efforts of hospital staff and organ donation facilitators.
