Manodarpan Helpline Receives Over 3.3 Lakh Calls, Majority from Classes VI-VIII Students

The Manodarpan mental health helpline, launched in 2020 under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Package, received 3,32,877 calls nationwide until March 10, 2026. Students from Classes VI to VIII made 69.1% of these calls, followed by Classes IX to XII at 25.85%. Uttar Pradesh had the highest caller share at 24.94%, with Delhi and Bihar next. The helpline, staffed by 69 trained counsellors, addresses issues including suicidal ideation and is monitored by NCERT to inform future support measures.
