Branca called Sreekumar an "Indian invader" and suggested he "could have stayed in Mumbai and enjoyed Indian healthcare." Branca, who identifies as a MAGA supporter and attorney, has a history of posting anti-India content. Sreekumar's family reported he experienced severe chest pain before his death at Edmonton's Grey Nuns Community Hospital.
