
The Sahitya Akademi announced the 2025 awards honoring distinguished literary works in 24 Indian languages. Notable winners include Assamese writer Devabrat Das for his novel 'Kakhi Khelor Sadhu,' Bodo author Sahaisuli Brahma for the novel 'Dwngwni Lama Mwse Gwthwn,' and Manipuri writer Haobam Nalini for the short story collection 'Kanglamdriba Eephut.' Other recipients include Navtej Sarna (English), Mamta Kalia (Hindi), and Prakash Bhattarai (Nepali). The awards recognize various genres and will be presented at a ceremony on March 31.
