The Azhwars, mystic saint-poets, expressed their devotion to God through various spiritual relationships and devotional moods, or bhavas. Dr. Venkatesh explained these bhavas, including Saanta Bhavam (serene contemplation) exemplified by Tirumazhisai Piran, Sakhya Bhavam (friendship) by Tirumangai Azhwar, Dasya Bhavam (servitude) also by Tirumangai Azhwar, and Vatsalya Bhavam (parental love) by Kulasekhara Azhwar. These diverse expressions highlight unique facets of bhakti, enriching humanity with sacred hymns.
